Parks & Environmental Resources

Train to construct, maintain, and manage parks, outdoor spaces, and environmental resources.

In the Parks & Environmental Resources program, you will develop hands-on skills across four integrated areas:

Carpentry and masonry
Plumbing and pipe fitting
Landscaping and hardscape
Parks and recreation management.

You will learn structural construction; brick, block, and concrete installation; floor, wall, and roof framing; outdoor construction; drainage, water systems, and fuel piping; construction drawings and jobsite maintenance; low-voltage lighting, design, and mapping; equipment operation; habitat management and restoration; operations management; sales and marketing; ecosystems; surveying; and site procedures.

Graduates are prepared for immediate entry-level work or continued education and apprenticeships in the trades and outdoor resource fields.

Certification

Students have the opportunity to acquire the following certifications:

Parks and Recreation Management Course (CTAG)
Landscaping and Hardscape Course (CTAG)
OSHA 10-Hour
OSHA 30-Hour
