The Nail Technician program at CVCC consists of 200 hours of instruction in manicuring.

Students earn clock hours based on actual seat time, which is tracked weekly and reported monthly to the Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board.

Clinical and theoretical instruction for the Nail Technician program includes the following content areas:

  • Nail care procedures and practices
  • Nail cutting and shaping
  • Nail polish application
  • Acrylics and nail enhancements
  • Hand and foot massage
  • Skin anatomy and care
  • Infection control
  • Client consultations
