Through the Ohio Reach Program, Cuyahoga Valley Career Center can cover your tuition, fees, and related costs. Available programs include dental assisting, fiber optics, machine technology, and emergency medical technician (EMT).
Most of these programs take only a few weeks or a few months. You leave with real, usable skills and the proof you need to show employers. These trainings are designed for people who need to start earning as soon as possible.

Ohio Reach is a statewide initiative administered by the Ohio Children’s Alliance in partnership with the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE). The program supports colleges, universities, and Ohio Technical Centers in developing coordinated campus structures that identify and support students with lived experience in foster care, kinship care, or other out-of-home placements as they pursue postsecondary education.
Through the Ohio Reach Postsecondary Designation, institutions commit to providing intentional, coordinated supports that address barriers to enrollment, persistence, and completion. Designated institutions receive recognition, access to training and technical assistance, participation in a statewide learning network, and limited program funding to support implementation.
