“Your appointment is confirmed!” Experience the full range of salon services — shampoo, cut, color, perm, style, manicure, pedicure, and facial — as you train to become a licensed cosmetologist.
In this hands-on program, you’ll learn that exceptional customer service is just as important as mastering the art and science of personal care for hair, skin, and nails. Students develop their skills through practical experience on mannequins, classmates, and real clients in our professional, on-campus salon.
Upon successful completion of the program, you’ll be eligible to take the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology Licensing Examination and begin your journey toward a rewarding career in the beauty industry.
Suggested Skills for Success:
Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
Demonstrate consistent attendance for all scheduled CVCC class days to meet the required contact hours for state exam eligibility
All program completers are required to take the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology Licensing Examination at the end of the second year
Students have the opportunity to acquire the following certifications:
