Practical Nursing

The School of Practical Nursing at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center has been educating students since 1963. Cooperative agreements with many community health-related organizations provide clinical facilities and potential job opportunities. Successful completion of this 1,200 clock hour program affords the individual the opportunity to take the licensure exam for practical nursing (NCLEX).

The School of Practical Nursing offers affordable tuition, which includes access to ATI Testing’s Premier Package. This extensive resource helps students build essential critical and clinical knowledge throughout their studies and supports their preparation for the NCLEX-PN (State Board) exam after graduation. CVCC is proud to have 100% of our full-time faculty certified as ATI Champions.

Minimal Admission Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid government-issued ID
  • AHA Basic Life Support CPR card
  • Acceptable physical exam with drug screen, background check and fingerprinting
