Guidance and Counseling Services

Guidance and counseling services at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center are available to students and their parents by appointment or on a walk-in basis during school hours. Guidance services include:

  • Promoting students’ academic, personal/social and career development.
  • Helping students search for college or other postsecondary education programs.
  • Securing information on college scholarships and financial aid.
  • Serving as a liaison for principals, teachers, students, and parents.
  • Assisting students and their families in admissions, transfers, and withdrawals.
  • Assisting in course planning with associate schools, students and parents for acadmic credit toward graduation.
  • Following a code of ethics and privacy in dealings with students and parents.

988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline provides 24/7, free, and confidential support to Ohioans in mental health crisis. Ohioans can call or text “988” to reach a trained specialist for help and support.
