MEET THE JOB PLACEMENT TEAM
The Job Placement staff at CVCC assists current students in learning job search strategies and employability skills that promote success on the job. We support students by providing career planning services such as career research, creating resumes, cover letters, and job leads.
Our office coordinates career opportunities such as: industry interviews, worksite visits, and internships. Our goal is to prepare students for a successful transition into the workplace.

The purpose of the job shadowing is to give students the opportunity to observe an employer and worksite that corresponds to the student’s career-technical program. This experience provides students an opportunity to gain additional knowledge and insight into their career focus.
Students gain valuable experience by completing an unpaid internship. Must be setup and approved through the program instructor.
Second year students who meet attendance and grade guidelines are encouraged to take advantage of CVCC’s Early Placement, Paid Internship, or Apprenticeship program to put their skills to work. While participating in one of these programs, students attend home school classes as usual, but during CVCC class time they work with area employers in paid positions directly related to their CVCC programs. Many students who participate are offered full-time positions after graduation.
